Welcome to FIZX

FIZX is a completely free community site for Year 12 and 13 students (and their teachers) of AS/A Level Physics. There are general resources for each specification, specific resources from your own school and a forum that puts you in contact with other students (and teachers) across the country.

If you're not a member, click here to sign up. It's free — we just like to know who you are!

Recent activity on school pages

Bristol Brunel Academy's and Fallibroome High School's pages have both been updated a lot recently.

Site development announcements

Changes to Wikidot mean that the sometimes-annoying generic Wikidot menu bars at the top and bottom of the screen have been removed. The page "edit" button is now only at the bottom of pages. Also, freer controls over licencing have been provided, meaning that the entire FIZX site is protected by a stronger copyright notice, as described at the very bottom of every page.

I've added a second set of external links to all the AQA-A pages. These link out to Antonine Education which is a well established site offering resources for AQA-A and much more. This is site is supported by James Irvine. Many thanks to James for allowing to explicit links to his site. This is a key development since James provides support for all optional modules.

I've populated the generic AQA-A pages so that they point to content at our 'A' level Physics Wiki at Ranelagh. If others have AQA-A support they can add further outgoing links to the same pages.

Generic pages for AQA A, Edexcel and WJEC have been added (together with forum categories).
WANTED: teachers to write the content of these pages, to mirror the information provided on the equivalent OCR A pages

Physics Jokes

How does a mathematician deal with constipation? He works it out with a pencil.

What did the physicist have for dinner? Fission chips.

Later on I'm going to freeze myself down to -273°C. Don't worry, though; I'll be 0K.
